The Intoxicologist Is In

If you have not taken the time to check out Libation Association yet, now is the time.  Dan Crowell has dissected the Corpse Reviver and the many fascinating spirits that combine to resurrect this classic cocktail.  Find information about Absinthe, Lillet and Chartreuse to name a few.  Each of these spirits may be ones you pass regularly on the liquor aisle curious as to what you might concoct with them.  Libation Conversation: Deconstructing a Classic – ‘Corpse Reviver’ discusses each of these spirits and more. 

Dan also had the opportunity to interview the lead bartender, Morgan Kilpatrick, at Blue Orchid in Lincoln, Nebraska.  Blue Orchid has received outstanding reviews for their cuisine and cocktails.  After having read Dan’s conversation with Morgan about her approach to cocktails, it is no wonder the patrons find Blue Orchid so enchanting.  The article alone with its numerous descriptions of cocktails and fresh ingredients had my curiosity piqued.  Have a look at Interview – Blue Orchid also found at Libation Association. 

Libation Association is a place where bartenders, spirit nerds and cocktail enthusiasts can come together, share ideas, get answers, and generally geek out about booze.  Dan Crowell is a self-professed spirits nerd and cocktail enthusiast.  He is also an excellent cocktail mixologist with inventive ideas that astound and amaze me at times.
