1800 Tequila Wants You! Design Your Own Bottle for a Chance to Win or Order for the Holidays

leave a comment »

Give your art a new venue:  Design your own 1800 Tequila bottle using your own art.  All designs will be entered into a contest for a chance to win $10,000 and appear in a national advertising campaign.  Members of the family who own 1800 Tequila and the 1800 Tequila management will choose the winner of the Essential Artists program.  The winner will win the cash prize and will have his/her artwork featured on a prominent billboard in the arts district of the major city from where they reside.  Five of the highest rated bottles from the website which everyone may rate will receive complimentary printing of their artwork design onto an 1800 Tequila Bottle.

There are a few rules: You must be 21.  All artwork must be your own and uploadable.  There are a few more other “reserve the right” and “you may not be the employee of…” sort of rules, but read those in full on the 1800 Tequila Essential Artists site.  I took the three minutes or less to register so I could possibly design my own bottle.  You never know.  After taking a look at all the bottle art designs it becomes apparent some are not using this online tool for the primary purpose of winning a contest.  There are a few out there who have designed bottles for specific personal use with wedding or remembrance themes.  That is a side benefit of this specific program.  These bottles may be ordered online.

If you want to design a bottle for yourself or to give as a special gift, you can do so and then order it.  Directions follow as soon as you click on the shopping cart.  You are directed on how to contact Kaleidoscope, the company 1800 Tequila and the Essential Artists program uses to order, and then how to file prep and send your files.  Essential 1800 Artists bottles are $225 plus shipping and take approximately 2-3 weeks from delivery of final art.  If you want one of these for the holidays, order now.  Keep in mind, due to legal issues involved with shipping, when you order this product you order the bottle only.

There are probably hundreds of bottle art I scanned through, but a few I found predominantly interesting in no particular order.  If you would like to find them more easily, click on the “User Gallery” tab and then “Sort by” and choose Alphabetical.  All artists are sorted by last name.  (Photos were provided by a marketing company and not those listed in my selection.)

·         Ulises Guzman from Los Angeles, CA with a depiction of white dragons amid smoky white clouds.

·         Windy Escobar from Plano, IL with a black and white scorpion poised for attack.

·         Raul Mendoza from Chihuahua from Mexico with stacks of black and white aging barrels.

·         Raul Mendoza from Chihuahua from Mexico has another beautiful bottle with landscape and open sky.  This one has a 5 star rating on it already.  A must see.

·         Shane Hubbard from Waynesboro, GA has an interesting black and white drawing it looks like with dragon scales, flowers and faces.  A world of innocence and evil colliding.  Some would say an evening of tequila shots is exactly that.

·         Todd Woodward of Brooklyn, NY put some effort into his colorful bottle art.  This almost 4 star rated bottle shows a bearded dragon’s head.  He left a .com calling card in his information if you’d like to see more of his art, but you’ll have to visit the Essential Artists site.

Be sure to log on, register and start rating your favorites.  If I decide to submit bottle art, you’ll be the first to know.
